Elastic weiss is a 2K-polyester filler developed specially for the body painter and fulfilling the highest demands of quality.

 

 

Characteristics

– For use on steel surfaces only 

– Not for use on zinc and aluminium surfaces 

 

Application

 

Because of its qualities of filling pores in the area of filling and base putty area, this fine putty can also be used to repair small scratches and paint defects. The base must be clean, dry and grease-free.

Delivery viscosity at 20°C: as a paste 

VOC content 2004/42/IIB (b) (250) <250g/l 

Shade: white 

 

Dosing

-Addition of 2-3 % by weight hardener paste. 

Overdosing of the hardener paste is to be avoided.Bleeding-through and colour changes in the finishing coat might be the result. 

 

Pot life

Elastic weiss: 3-4 minutes at + 20°C room temperature 

Elastic weiss slow: 5-6 minutes at + 20°C room temperature

Elastic weiss very slow: 9-10 minutes at + 20°C room temperature. 

 

Reaction temperature

·    At least +5°C.

 

Application

Spread on with a spatula. Air drying at +20°C room temperature, 15 – 20 minutes. 

 

Sandability 

Following drying times given.

 

As filling putty:

First sanding – dry with P80 – P120

Re-sanding – dry with P120 – 240 

 

As fine putty:

First sanding – dry with P120 – P180

Re-sanding – dry with P180 – P240

 

Reworking

The fine putty can be gone over with CS Spray.
